The PGA Certified Professional Program was developed by The PGA of America in 2004 to further encourage PGA members to expand their expertise in growing the business of golf. Ultimately, it is our belief that PGA Certified Professionals can provide an even greater level of value to all types of golf operations.
The PGA Certified Professional Program:
Encourages self assessment and self improvement in the golf profession Establishes professional standards in an evolving and competitive marketplace Promotes individual and collective contributions to the golf professional, and Recognizes PGA Professionals who demonstrate high levels of competence in specific professional functions
